Signs That Your Stomach Pain Is Actually a Gallbladder Attack

You hear about it every other day. Gallbladder removal has become one of the most performed surgeries throughout the world. The gallbladder is an organ (looks like a pear), which is located beneath the liver. The purpose of this organ is to store a digestive fluid called bile. The bile breaks down the fats that get absorbed and secreted by the body.

Some of the bile hardens and turns into little deposits of gallstones. Sometimes, these gallstones get stuck inside the pipe of the small intestine. Most of the time, we are clueless to the fact that we might have gallstones. Although, gallstones don’t need any such treatment, there are chances that they may cause a gallbladder attack.

If someonesuffers from agallbladder attack, it might occur for a few painful minutes or last for a few hours. The sufferer might even be needed to be taken to the hospital. That’s why it is considered wise and sensible to be wary of the signs and indications as it canpotentially lead to a risky medical condition.

Signs and symptoms
It is important to identify the possible signsof a gallbladder attack and seek help right away.

Sharp and acute pain: An unexpected bout of pain in the upper abdomen is one of the most common indicators of a gallbladder attack. There may be times when the pain is mild and there may be times when the pain is intense and frequent.There may be times that the pain will be mild or rather intense and frequent.

You might also start experiencing pain in your back or even in your chest.  

Vomiting:
Another symptom of a gallbladder attack can be experiencing bouts of vomiting or nausea. Persistent gallbladder diseases can lead to severe digestive problems. 

Chills orfever:
An unexpected bout of fever combined with acute abdominal pain can be a sign of an infection that should be treated before it spreads and becomes life threatening.

Diarrhea:
If you experience around four bowel movements a day for three months, it could be a sign of gallbladder disease or other digestive disorder.

Jaundice:
If the skin turns to a pale yellowish color, it can be an indication of bile blockage in the duct from a gallstone.

Loss of appetite:
You might lose your appetite to avoid the expected pain that happens after eating.  Having pains after eating spicy or fatty foods could be a sign ofa gallbladderattack.

Stool and urine Changes:
If the urine’s color looks yellow or brown, it could be an indication of a gallbladder attack. Not only does the urine changesits color, but the stool will have a light color and a chalky texture.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, it is recommended to make a doctor’s appointment as early as possible.
